Just how many 100 page rulebooks with cheap glossy covers are you willing to play once and then accumulate on your library shelf? Especially when you have to wait six months for the Kickstarter to be fulfilled. Especially when it is just a remix of some other indie system made by a friend of that system’s original author.
I’m guessing, not that many. And so the ride called the Indie Tabletop scene, fueled by earnest Kickstarters and DriveThru RPG downloads, is going to come to an end.
Which is sad, because I was looking forward to the 125th remix of DungeonWorld featuring genderqueer themes set in an underwater space station.
